Center For Responsible Business
CRB is a centre of excellence facilitating social and environmental impacts and organizational behaviour change towards incorporating responsible business strategies, policies and practices. CRB partners with and supports actors and stakeholders across the global value chain - national and transnational brands and companies, manufacturers and suppliers (SMEs), national and international organizations, and governments - as they promote and move towards more sustainable and responsible future that will contribute to harmonious relationships at workplaces, organizational productivity, environmental sustainability, business continuity and growth.
What we do
CRB develops capacity building (content and training), action research programmes and multi-stakeholder initiatives in the field of CSR/sustainable development, particularly focused around human rights and environmental sustainability issues in global value & supply chains. CRB helps build capacities of organizations to help design and implement self- and co-regulatory social and environmental codes of conduct and standards as instruments of responsible business policies and practices. CRB’s distinctive training methodologies, methods and customized advisory services enable enterprises to adopt environmentally responsible practices and espouse workers’ rights and responsibilities within their workplaces and across the value chain.
We facilitate and undertake:
GIZ, SAI and BSCI partnered through a three-year (2010-2013) development partnership project in India to incubate a centre of excellence for development of capacity building initiatives in the domain of business responsibility and voluntary standards. The incubated centre was registered as a not-for-profit entity, Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), in November 2011 under the Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860.
