EU Policy and Outreach Partnership in India
Project Overview
Centre for Responsible Businesses (CRB) along with the Delegation of the European Union to India are working together to explore deepening collaboration between CSOs, businesses and other key stakeholders in India on sustainability and SDGs, by conducting conversations across four cities of India. By bringing together these groups, the partners hope to pave the way for increased collaboration and cooperation towards sustainable development in India.
Some of the cities that might be covered in each of the location are as follows:
● Western (Pune)
● Southern ( Karnataka)
● Eastern ( Kolkata)
● North Eastern (Guwahati)
Objectives
The objective of the project is to hold a series of multi-stakeholder events on topic of “Towards Stronger CSO & Business Collaboration on Sustainability and SDGs in India”
- Organise and facilitate the participation of Government, Civil Society (CSOs, Academia, media, etc) and Businesses in four regional dialogues in India on accelerating SDGs.
- Identify opportunities and challenges, for enabling effective and impactful collaboration between CSOs and Businesses to achieve SDG Targets.
- Identify specific opportunities for CSOs and Businesses to collaborate for promoting inclusive business.
- Provide inputs for policy/political dialogue in India on ‘Accelerating SDGs’.

Leveraging Connectivity and Collaboration to Accelerate SDGs in India
This new report represents a culmination of insights and outcomes derived from a series of multi-stakeholder dialogues held across four key cities in India, facilitated by CRB in collaboration with local partners and funded by the Delegation of the European Union to India. Building upon the individual reports from each event, this consolidated synthesis report provides a comprehensive overview of the discussions, findings, and proposed strategies aimed at fostering stronger collaboration between CSOs, businesses, government entities, and other stakeholders toward advancing sustainability and the SDGs in India. Drawing from diverse perspectives and experiences shared during the regional dialogues, the report outlines a recipe for effective collaboration, emphasizing policy coherence, targeted priorities, a whole-of-society approach, and the importance of trust and confidence-building, aiming to achieve measurable impacts and build resilience for a sustainable future.
Accelerating SDGs through Collaboration and Convergence: Lessons for EU and Indian Policy Stakeholders
Building on our collaborative workshops on sustainability and SDGs across India with the Delegation of European Union to India, this new policy brief offers insights for EU and Indian policymakers. Informed by the EU-India Trade and Technology Council’s focus on sustainable development, the document emphasises the importance of local capacity building, gender mainstreaming, trust-building, and digitalisation for effective collaboration on critical sustainability initiatives.
