G20
The Think20 (T20) is an official Engagement Group of the G20. It serves as an “idea bank” for the G20 by bringing think tanks and experts together to engage in discussions on policy matters that are relevant to the G20 agenda. Â
The Centre for Responsible Business, has been actively engaged with the activities of the T20 and has contributed to the development of a few policy briefs and side-events as indicated below
Policy brief 1: Reducing Food Loss and Waste: Enabling Action Through the Target-Measure-Act Approach
Every year, more than 40 percent of food intended for human consumption is either lost or wasted across the global food supply chain. The reduction of such food loss and food waste could yet be one of the most effective strategies to mitigate the existential threat of climate change. Policy Brief 2 : Driving Sustainable Consumption through Policy Innovations in Value Chains
Consumers today are increasingly interested in buying sustainable and climate conscious or environment friendly products and services. However, the supply of such products and services remains limited and sustainable purchasing is extremely restricted. This ‘intent-action gap’ in sustainable consumption needs to be addressed to achieve the goals of sustainable lifestyles, as envisaged by the Indian G20 presidency, especially through the Mission Lifestyle for Environment MissionLiFE.
